This is the funny and touching story of two mature students studying history, and a whole lot else, at University.
The piece can be performed as a straight comedy play, or as a musical. For the straight version you need four talented actors (2m, 2f) and a minimalist multi-purpose setting. For the musical version, just add a chorus of young people, and you have a fantastic evening's entertainment, combining high quality drama and irresistible songs. But don't just take our word for it...
"Last night was opening night of your play at The 1812 Theatre. I wanted to let you know that it was really fantastic, the audience really loved it. We have a very good actor playing Rick (as one would!) and everyone really cared about Rick and what happened to him. One audience member said it was like reading a really good book, when you got to the end you didn't want to stop because you were enjoying it so much. Thank you so much for writing such a lovely script. The humour, the sadness and the deft echoes of real life made the play a pleasure to watch."
Wendy Gare, 1812 Theatre Company, Melbourne, Australia

If you have a relatively modern computer with soundcard, you can buy a cd-rom which allows you to scroll though the entire script and, at the appropriate points, hear the music. The cd also contains a few short clips of the original Flying Ducks production on video with a live audience.
